About the Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing procurement and subcontractor tendering across construction packages
• Negotiating and placing subcontract orders
• Managing groundworks and key construction packages
• Monitoring costs against site start budgets and project appraisals
• Preparing cost reports for senior management
• Reviewing subcontractor valuations and authorising payments
• Supporting value engineering opportunities to optimise project costs
• Ensuring subcontractors meet quality, compliance, and programme requirements
• Working closely with site teams to maintain commercial control throughout the build
You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior commercial leadership and play an important role in the financial performance of developments.
Key Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ Quantity Surveying experience within construction
Strong site-based experience on residential or housing developments
Experience managing groundworks packages
Excellent negotiation and subcontractor management skills
Strong commercial and cost control ability
Full UK driving licence
